Java Developer (B2B)

About:

The client is embarking on an overhaul of the core platform, a large-scale project that involves reworking and uplifting existing systems. This is a large project executed within multiple teams, offering exciting challenges and opportunities for growth.

The position is based in Warsaw, Poland and offers employment as a contractor (B2B). You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, teams of highly skilled individuals and the latest technologies in the industry.

Responsibilities:

* Design and develop robust backend services and APIs using Java.
* Collaborate closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
* Implement scalable solutions for data storage and retrieval using distributed storage systems like DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDB.
* Ensure high performance and responsiveness of our services by optimizing code and database queries.
* Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding, testing, and deployment.
* Work within Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality software.
* Troubleshoot issues, identify bottlenecks and implement solutions promptly.

Skills:

* Strong programming skills in Java with a deep understanding of object-oriented design principles.
* Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC) and Hibernate.
* Familiarity with front-end technologies and frameworks such as Angular or React.
* Proficiency in working with distributed storage systems like DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDB.
* Hands-on experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
* Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and development.
