Infrastructure Engineer - 3-6 months ÂŁ300 ON-SITE - Outside IR35
Job Description:
* Provide Expertise in solutions that focus on protecting and securing digital assets and infrastructure.
* Develop and implement security measures to safeguard information.
* Network and Cybersecurity
* Monitor and respond to security breaches and threats.
* Stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies.
* Collaborate with Infrastructure Vendors for service provision and issue resolution.
* Introduce relevant hardening measure to current security systems.
Key tasks:
* Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities and threats across all systems.
* Windows servers (virtual and physical) and PC environments.
* On-premises and cloud-hosted solutions.
* Communications systems - LAN, WAN, mobile, and softphone.
* Security - cyber, user application, and network.
* Firewall, antivirus, and associated elements of security.
* Patching of Windows and core applications.
Qualifications and Experience
* Implement and manage anti-virus, anti-malware, and other protection programs.
* Support ongoing IT security projects.
* Perform environment health checks and lead remedial activities.
* Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
* Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and respond to security incidents.
* Ensure compliance with security regulations and standards.
* Conduct regular security audits and assessments.
* Provide training and support to staff on security best practices.
* Collaborate with other departments to integrate security measures.
* Present key security findings and updates to management.

Solid understanding of:
* firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network protocols.
* Proficiency in Windows
* Familiarity with encryption algorithms and how to implement them.
* Skills in identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities.
* Ability to respond to and manage security breaches and incidents.
* Knowledge of authentication methods and security administration.
* Strong understanding of software, including anti-virus, anti-malware, and other protection programs.
* Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and experience with tools like IBM
* CISMP
* Problem-solving capabilities in high-pressure environments.
* Critical thinking and a troubleshooting mindset.
* Interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally
* Understanding of ethical hacking techniques and threat modelling.
* Provide support in adapting security measures.
