Job Title: Cloud Architect (Microsoft Azure)
Location: Drammen
Are you an experienced Cloud Architect with a strong background in Microsoft Azure? We are looking for a talented individual to design and implement cutting-edge cloud infrastructure solutions for our organisation. This role requires in-depth technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to drive best practices in Azure architecture, DevOps, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Azure Architecture Design: Lead the design and review of Azure infrastructure architecture, with a focus on microservices and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
* Infrastructure Migration: Strategise and execute the migration of on-premises infrastructure to Azure, ensuring seamless transitions.
* Automation & Scripting: Automate end-to-end infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks such as ARM, Terraform, Azure CLI, and PowerShell.
* DevOps Strategy: Design and implement a robust DevOps process, utilising Azure DevOps to automate workflows, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and manage infrastructure.
* Security & Compliance: Ensure the cloud environment adheres to security best practices, manage infrastructure secrets, and implement disaster recovery solutions.
* Leadership & Collaboration: Provide technical guidance and leadership to teams, coordinate with offshore and internal stakeholders, and mitigate project risks.
* Best Practices: Establish standards, processes, and automation for Azure provisioning, operations, and management.
Primary Skills:
* Proven expertise in designing microservices architectures with Docker, Azure Containers, and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
* Experience in migrating VMs, applications, and databases to Azure, including recording machine IOPS and allocating VMs based on workloads.
* Networking proficiency in configuring VNets, Subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Load Balancers, and monitoring with tools like Fiddler and Wireshark.
* Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting and configuring high availability for SQL Servers.
* Experience in setting up domain controllers, Azure Active Directory Sync, and disaster recovery for cloud environments.
Secondary Skills:
* Strong experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD strategies and self-hosted agents.
* Hands-on knowledge of various Azure services (Web Apps, API Apps, Redis Cache, Azure Key Vault, Azure Data Factory, etc.).
* Familiarity with integrating Azure services with client networks and automating Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, HDInsight, Service Fabrics).
* Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with identity management solutions (LDAP, ADFS, Graph API, AD Synchronisation).
* Familiarity with other DevOps platforms such as Jenkins, Puppet, or Ansible.
* Knowledge of RDBMS systems like SQL and Oracle.
