About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our dynamic clients team and provide insights to drive business decision-making for our industry-leading clients. This role focuses on statistical analysis, forecasting, predictive modelling, simulation, and optimisation, helping to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data manipulation, advanced analytics, and a strong understanding of business applications in the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

* Apply statistical analysis, forecasting, predictive modelling, simulation, and optimisation techniques to uncover valuable business insights
* Extract, cleanse, and integrate data from multiple sources to answer complex business questions
* Develop advanced analytic models to solve key business challenges, discover growth opportunities, and optimise processes
* Interpret and communicate model findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring clear understanding of business impacts
* Recommend strategies for revenue generation, cost reduction, and risk management based on model outcomes
* Automate reporting processes and implement successful models for ongoing business use
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including BI Analysts, Data Scientists, and Business Stakeholders, to solve complex business problems
* Monitor industry trends and advanced analytics technologies to continuously improve models and strategies
* Engage with internal and external customers to assess needs and propose effective data-driven solutions
* Assist in the selection of IT solutions and data governance tools that align with business requirements

Core Requirements:

* Degree in Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Economics, Data Engineering, or Risk Management (Honours or Master's preferred)
* At least 5 years of experience in advanced analytics, with a minimum of 1-2 years spent in data model development
* Experience in data manipulation and analysis using SAS, SQL, or equivalent platforms
* Proficiency in Python (basic to intermediate coding skills)
* Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex analytic results into actionable business strategies
* In-depth knowledge of Data Warehousing and BI environments
* Advanced understanding of analytic techniques such as data mining, segmentation, neural networks, and optimisation

Additional Qualifications:

* Experience working with Big Data ecosystems and advanced analytic platforms is advantageous
* A curious mindset with a strong desire to uncover root causes and explore business challenges
* Ability to question assumptions and drive change by recommending innovative solutions to complex business problems
