Senior Data Platform Engineer - Hybrid/Newcastle

My client is based in the Newcastle area are currently looking to recruit for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their Data Platform team. They are a one of the leaders within the retail industry. They are currently going through a period of growth and are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their team. Your role will include:

* Architecture: Design and implement scalable data ingestion solutions on Azure using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Delta Lake, and Python.
* Data Integration: Develop robust ETL/ELT processes for integrating data into Azure services.
* DataOps: Implement DataOps to automate the data lifecycle, ensuring rapid and high-quality data delivery.
* CI/CD: Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of data workflows.
* Data Governance: Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards.
* Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to meet their data needs.
* Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Azure and data engineering trends to drive team improvements.

* Azure Data Platform - ADF, Databricks, Azure Synapse..
* Experience orchestrating data ingestion into Azure Data Lake, developing advanced analytics data models, and deploying Azure Logic Apps and Function Apps for process automation.
* Mentoring and providing guidance to team members.
