Controller - South Bend, Indiana

Overview:

Our client, a growing company in South Bend, Indiana, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with a strong background in financial management, accounting, and systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the company's growth and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and reporting.
* Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
* Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
* Provide financial insights to support decision-making and business strategies.
* Supervise and mentor the accounting team to ensure efficient and accurate workflow.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
* Support audits, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements.
* Maintain and improve the company's use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for financial reporting and analysis.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar senior finance role.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
* In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
* Experience managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
* CPA or CMA certification preferred, but not required.
