Full Stack Software Developer

The Department:

The Mobile App Software Development team is a specialized group the planning, design, development, and maintenance of mobile applications. This team plays a pivotal role in creating mobile experiences that meet user needs, align with business goals, and provide exceptional user experience with in the Native App.



Purpose of the Role:

The role of a Full Stack Software Engineer in the context of mobile apps serves several important purposes, as it bridges the gap between front-end and back-end development, enabling the development and maintenance of comprehensive, end-to-end mobile applications.



Duties include, but not limited to:



Primary Duties

* Develop cutting-edge software using the latest development tools and frameworks.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze specifications and complete technical documentation.
* Unit-test all software artifacts.
* Maintain and update current systems and develop new systems using the latest technologies.
* Collaborate with Product Owners and QA Engineers in developing, testing, and deploying systems components.
* Research and develop new technologies.
* Provide second/third line support to IT for software deployed into company eco system.
* Analyse and resolve complex and high impact production issues where required.
* Monitor systems performance and ensure all SLA's are met.
* Assist with technical documentation.
* Develop reusable Terraform templates for infrastructure as code to improve deployment speed and consistency.
* Ensure timely delivery of software solutions that meet quality standards.



Support to Team

* Transfer of business and technical knowledge to the greater team.

Essential Criteria:

* 3 years'+ experience hands-on development experience.
* Experience developing in at least one of React development in a mobile front-end focused test-driven environment.
* Experience in working with agile teams and successfully delivering agile based software projects.
* Be prepared to work in a 24/7 environment.
* Proven experience with Source control concepts (Merging, Branching, Publishing)
* Proven experience in internet technology and web development.
* Proven experience in coding with an understanding of system architectures and knowledge of SOA.
* Knowledge of OO, development methodologies and applying patterns.
* Ability to work alongside Architects to integrate and propose viable solutions to business.
* Data Stores: MS SQL Server, Mongo
* Software: C#,.Net core, XML, SOAP, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, Stored Procedures, Visual Studio.
* Demonstrates consistent behaviour aligned to the Organizational Culture.



Desirable Criteria:

* Computer Science related degree, diploma or similar qualification.
* Development Experience in Mobile Platforms such as Android and iOS
* Knowledge of cloud services such as Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure Service Bus, Azure Key Vault, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Application Insights.
* Working experience with Terraform, and Pipelines
* MVC pattern, pub-sub patterns
* NoSql (Mongo)
* Real time evaluations (SignalR/XSockets)
* Continuous Integration
* Docker, Kubernetes
* Design and developing for extensibility and scalability
* Angular
