Accounting Manager - D365 F&O - Brookyln, NY - $100k

Our client is a home goods family business that has been in operation for over sixty years! They are now experiencing a period of rapid growth and are in need of an Accounting Manager to lead a small team as well as act as a hands-on resource within the business to support their ERP following a recent Dynamics 365 F&O implementation.

We are looking for someone with expertise as a super user on D365 Finance, especially in a distribution environment, who could help train the accounting team on software functionality.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Top notched hands-on and day-to-day manager focused on developing and leading a team to success
* Day-to-day oversight and hands-on involvement with all financial and accounting functions
* Develop and implement financial strategies in-line with company goals and assist as needed with the implementation of business plans that align with the long-term goals of the company
* Drive process improvements and efficiency gains in accounting operations
* Create and enforce internal accounting and financial policies
* Manage the process and third-party advisors regarding the company's annual audit and tax filings
* In-depth financial analysis and management of financial reports, financial statements, and other required financial reports
* Execute month-end closings, financial forecasts, budget preparation process and controls, cost accounting, audits, and reporting
* Work with other company leaders and executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process
* Effectively coach and lead the accounting team with continued professional development, one on one coaching, and effective accountability
* Review and implement accounting standards, internal policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements
* Other accounting and financial related tasks, projects, assignments as needed and requested





What You'll Need:

* 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance related roles, including team leadership experience
* Well-rounded knowledge of GAAP processes
* Manufacturing or Distribution industry experience is a must, with the experience handling inventory and cost accounting
* Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O experience is REQUIRED
* Experience developing reports, including Power BI, SQL, or Advanced Excel reporting knowledge is a plus
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
