6 month contract - Data Engineer - Oslo

We are looking for a data engineer to join a finance company in Oslo on a freelance basis for 6 months to work on a new data platform in Azure



Your role will involve:

* Working with internal stakeholders to understand data requirements and design efficient data pipelines for migration to Azure
* Develop and implement ETL processes in the cloud
* Ensure optimisation for scalability, reliability, and performance
* Provide documentation and training to support the transition to Azure

We are looking for you to have:

* Proven experience as a data engineer or consultant, with expertise in building data pipelines and ETL processes
* Strong knowledge of Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database
* Familiarity with data modeling, warehousing, and analytics concepts
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Experience working in the finance industry or with financial data is beneficial

Fluency in Norwegian and English is required, and must be based in the Oslo area with a willingness to travel 2-3 days per week to office
