Workday Tester/ PMO Lead, London, £70K



We are seeking a Workday Tester and PMO Lead with strong expertise in Workday testing, Azure, and implementation projects. This dual-role position requires a blend of technical testing skills, project management, and leadership abilities to ensure successful execution of Workday implementations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within Azure environments, managing testing processes, and leading projects.



Workday Tester Responsibilities:

* Test Management & Strategy: Develop and implement test plans, strategies, and schedules for Workday HCM implementations and updates.
* Test Execution: Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) on Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, etc.
* Defect Management: Identify, document, and track issues/defects and work closely with the development and implementation teams to ensure resolution.
* Collaboration: Work with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure end-to-end testing is comprehensive and aligned with business needs.
* Automation & Reporting: Automate testing processes where possible and provide detailed reports on test outcomes and progress.
* Continuous Improvement: Proactively suggest improvements to test processes, documentation, and methodologies.



PMO Lead Responsibilities:

* Project Planning & Coordination: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of Workday implementation projects, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and scope.
* Resource Management: Manage resources and stakeholders, including external vendors, internal teams, and subject matter experts, to ensure optimal project performance.
* Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks and issues in the implementation process, proposing mitigation strategies and corrective actions when necessary.
* Stakeholder Communication: Maintain strong communication with senior leadership and project stakeholders, providing status updates and managing expectations.
* Process Optimization: Implement best practices and methodologies to streamline project delivery processes within the PMO framework.
* Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with project governance, standards, and procedures, and support audits and reviews as required.



Azure & Implementation Expertise:

* Azure Integration: Leverage Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, and other Azure tools to enhance testing, deployment, and project management processes.
* Cloud-Based Solutions: Support the integration of Workday within cloud environments, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture and services.
* Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with Azure-based IT teams to ensure smooth implementation of both Workday and other third-party applications.
* Azure Reporting & Metrics: Utilize Azure tools to report project progress, risks, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) for successful project delivery.

Qualifications & Skills:

* Workday Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience working on Workday testing, including HCM and other related modules.
* PMO Experience: At least 3+ years in project management or PMO roles, with a proven track record in managing and delivering complex enterprise projects.
* Azure Experience: Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, and related tools, including managing cloud-based solutions and integrations.
* Implementation Expertise: Experience in managing or supporting Workday implementation projects (end-to-end implementation or module-based).
* Testing Skills: Solid experience in functional, regression, UAT, and integration testing methodologies, with a strong understanding of testing tools.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to senior management and key stakeholders.

Advantageous Skills

* Certifications: Relevant certifications in Workday (e.g., Workday HCM, Workday Integration) and Azure (e.g., Azure DevOps, Azure Fundamentals) would be an advantage.
* Leadership: Strong leadership abilities to guide cross-functional teams and ensure alignment on project objectives.
