Data Engineer / Platform Consultant

I am working with one of Norway's most recognised Data & Analytics Partners, with fantastic scope and expertise growing throughout the Nordics

The company continues to win new projects across a variety of sectors due to their fantastic leadership group, their relationships with many vendors and reputation they hold based on their contributions to Data and AI across the community. Through delivering scalable data platforms, data science practices to insight models, they are becoming very well known throughout Norway for their work.

As a consultant you will be at the forefront of projects delivering true insights and value to help contribute to becoming a more efficient data driven operation!

You will be part of a flat structure so you will be able to have a great deal of influence across the departments direction but also with their customers as they want everyone to play their part.

You're time will be split between project deliverables, workshops, certifications and many social events. It's a fun environment where you be pushed to grow your competency, and be the best at your profession!

Experience

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and optimise data pipelines for efficient ETL processes in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
* Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
* Ensure scalability of data solutions by leveraging Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and other cloud-native technologies.
* Collaborate with platform engineering teams to build and maintain the underlying infrastructure, including compute, storage, and networking resources in Azure.
* Integrate various data sources and systems using Azure Logic Apps, Event Hubs, and API Management.
* Monitor, maintain, and optimise performance of data workflows, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
* Implement data security practices, including encryption, access control, and compliance with standards like GDPR or HIPAA.
* Provide expertise in managing data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Cosmos DB.
* Automate data pipeline deployment using CI/CD processes with tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Troubleshoot and optimise existing systems to enhance performance and reliability.

Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

At least 4 years of experience in .NET development (C#) with a strong understanding of full-stack development.

Experience with database systems (SQL Server) and agile methodologies.

Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and containerisation tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Solid knowledge of design patterns and experience building scalable, maintainable systems.

Strong Norwegian language skills (B2 level minimum).

Ability to obtain security clearance is a plus.
