    Essential skills:

    * Proven history of working in a DBA capacity,
    * Extensively maintained databases (Documentation, Procedures, Data Standards),
    * Identify and implement database requirements for new or existing applications,
    * Review current ETL and data warehouse setup and work with the wider data team to make improvements,
    * SQL database querying and relational data models,
    * Understanding of cloud-based data warehouse tool Snowflake and data pipeline tools,
    * Experience in database backup, disaster recovery planning, performance optimisation and data security.

    What will you work with?

    Solution Design and Development: you will work closely with clients to understand their business objectives and AI needs. Design and develop AI models, algorithms, and solutions tailored to address specific challenges and opportunities.

    Prototyping and POC Development: Develop proof-of-concept solutions to demonstrate the feasibility and potential impact of AI initiatives. Iterate and refine solutions based on feedback and insights gathered during client engagements.

    Deployment and Integration: Deploy solutions into production environments, integrating them seamlessly with existing systems and workflows. Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to ensure smooth deployment and ongoing maintenance of AI applications.

    What are we looking for in you?

    * Bachelors and/or Masters in an IT, Engineering, or Computer Science related subject
    * At least 3+ years of experience in a similar role involving aspects of software and data engineering
    * You should have a strong programming background (Java, Kotlin, C#, or similar) along with some Python experience
    * Experience with related cloud technologies - we have projects across Azure, AWS, GCP
    * Familiarity with working towards agile and devops processes

    We also hope you can bring experience in areas such as: data modelling, statistics, databases, datawarehousing, ETL, AI best practice

    Database Administrator (DBA) - Peterborough - Hybrid - £50k

    This is a new role in an expanding data and analytics function. Data is at the heart of everything my client do and with the number of brands continuing to grow, demand on the data team is increasing every day. They are looking for an individual with an enquiring mind who has a strong passion for data and technology, a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining databases and utilising their ETL tool to pipeline data into the data warehouse while ensuring data security and cleanliness. Your role will also entail troubleshooting issues between systems to understand and solve data discrepancies, enabling the wider team to produce accurate reporting.

    Role & Responsibilities

    * Review current ETL and data warehouse setup and work with the wider data team to make improvements, ensuring best practise is implemented
    * Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for data sources and tables across the company.
    * Protect data by developing data security and restoration controls
    * Identify and implement database requirements for new or existing applications and partners by working collaboratively with other teams.
    * Support users and developers by resolving data-related technical issues and troubleshooting queries by guiding them with best practices.
    * Management of access to Google Analytics, Ads, GMC and SA360 to ensure security across the brands and territories.

    What do I need to apply

    * Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
    * 3+ years of experience in database administration or in a similar role.
    * Familiarity with SQL database querying and relational data models

    Job description

    I'm looking for an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join a Microsoft Gold Certified Managed Services Provider, who specialise in DBA and development work. They are a relatively small and close-knit company, who operate on a fully-remote basis, with quarterly meet ups to get together, socialise, and celebrate their successes!

    You will work as part of a growing team of DBAs to support their clients with the administration of both their on-premises and Azure-based servers, as well as helping with any migration projects where relevant.

    This role is client-facing, so would be suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and providing exceptional customer service in everything that you do.

    Everyone on the team takes their turn being on-call, so realistically you can expect to spend 1 week in every couple of months on call (exact rota to be confirmed).
