    About the Role

    We are seeking a Technical Application Specialist to join the technology team of a leading broker in the Lloyd's of London market. This is a pivotal contract role for a subject matter expert in Policy Administration Systems (PAS), responsible for leading the design, support, and continuous improvement of business-critical platforms such as Eclipse Broking, Applied Epic, and other core insurance applications.

    This position blends technical application support with functional system ownership, ensuring seamless operations and driving innovation across the platform estate.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Act as the SME for PAS across the enterprise, reporting to the Technical Applications Lead.
    * Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including performance and security incidents.
    * Lead and contribute to projects such as upgrades and deployments.
    * Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards.
    * Create and manage knowledge base articles.
    * Address vulnerabilities and compliance issues through audit remediation.
    * Manage relationships with vendors, partners, and standards organisations.
    * Deliver high-quality colleague service with professionalism and efficiency.
    * Promote technology as a business enabler.
    * Provide flexible support and cover as needed.

    Skills and Experience

    * Strong understanding of PAS functionality and architecture.
    * Experience with Eclipse Broking, Applied Epic, or similar platforms.
    * Familiarity with insurance product configuration within PAS.
    * Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
    * Experience with system integrations (APIs, web services, batch processes).
    * Knowledge of SaaS/cloud technologies and basic network configuration.
    * Understanding of enterprise security principles and secure development practices.
    * Experience in API development and management (RESTful, SOAP).
    * Proven track record in supporting enterprise platforms and enhancing system capabilities.
    * Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
    * Familiarity with ITIL Service Delivery framework.

    I'm looking for a Senior hands-on Developer with Data Engineering and AI experience to join the newly established Technology and Innovation function of a successful Financial Advisory firm in London.
