Overview
A dynamic and innovative organization is seeking a Lead IT Project Manager to drive technology-focused initiatives from inception through to successful delivery. This individual will be responsible for managing multiple high-impact projects using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, depending on project requirements. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally across the business and play a key role in ensuring IT projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage with key stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
* Lead project initiation, planning, and execution phases, ensuring clear scope, deliverables, and milestones.
* Proactively monitor project progress and adjust plans to meet objectives.
* Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues to minimize project disruption.
* Allocate and manage internal and external project resources effectively.
* Oversee quality control processes and ensure compliance with project standards.
* Drive change management initiatives and support adoption of new systems and processes.
* Manage project budgets, ensuring optimal allocation and cost control.
* Collaborate with third-party technology providers and oversee their performance.
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation and deliver timely progress reports.
* Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and process improvement within the team.
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar.
* Postgraduate qualification in a related field (Preferred but not mandatory).
* Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Agile DSDM, or equivalent).

* Deep understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
* Strong knowledge of the full project lifecycle and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
* Proven ability to establish governance frameworks and manage project artifacts.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and modern project management tools.
