    SC Cleared 1st Line IT Support and Provisioning Engineer (JML)

    Reports To: Head of Product Development and Architecture

    Working Hours: 40 hours per week

    Location: London, UK

    Job Specification:

    This role involves supporting over 10,500 users within a government department. The JML (Joiners, Movers, and Leavers) team is responsible for onboarding new starters, facilitating employee transitions between departments, and maintaining high standards of hardware asset management. The team handles up to 570 new starters each month, managing account creation, asset deployment, and hardware configuration. Additionally, the team supports specific processes for government fast streamers and work experience programmes.



    Description of Role:

    The role includes overseeing user account creation, asset assignment, pre-staging laptop configurations, and deployment of IT equipment. You will also manage reporting on volumes and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure standards are met.



    Key Responsibilities:

    * User Account Creation:Set up accounts, including Ministerial accounts, in Active Directory with correct group memberships.
    * Asset Management:Use ServiceNow to assign equipment and maintain compliance with government standards.
    * Pre-Staging Configuration:Load profiles onto laptops, ensuring proper setup with tools like Zscaler, Okta, Teams, and other applications.
    * Deployment:Conduct classroom and remote deployments for groups and individuals.
    * Reporting:Track volumes and SLA results, providing detailed reports via ServiceNow.



    Skills and Experience:

    * Experience in Active Directory for account creation and group management.
    * Knowledge of Zscaler and Okta.
    * Familiarity with O365 licensing and configuration.
    * Comfortable presenting to groups of up to 25 people.
    * Training experience (advantageous).
    * ITIL Foundation certification (advantageous).
    * Proficiency in ServiceNow for request management.
    * Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
    * Professional, presentable demeanor with the ability to interact with senior executives, VIPs, and government officials.
