An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a large European business who are launching Workday Finance here in the UK. If you have experience in a Systems Administrator or IT Support role, and hands-on experience with Workday Finance, this could be a brilliant opportunity for you!

Whilst their UK HQ is in London, they are open to considering candidates across the UK - the frequency of travel into their office will be discussed during the interview process, depending on where you live and what your preferences are.

This is a brand-new role, where you will be solely responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support to UK-based users of Workday Finance and Adaptive Planning. You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, administration and configuration of the Workday system, and will work particularly closely with IT and Finance Teams to understand their requirements and challenges.

It's a unique opportunity to become the go-to person for Workday support, and establish yourself as the technical expert in the UK business.

Requirements:

* Experience in a Systems Administrator / IT Support or similar role
* In-depth knowledge of Workday Finance
* A Workday Certification would be advantageous, but not essential
* Good understanding of finance business processes
* A keen attitude to learning and picking up new skills and knowledge
* Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Your New Role

* Build Solutions, primarily through C/AL modifications and AL extensions, but also other programming tools such as C#, SQL, JavaScript, Python, and .NET
* Act as the technical lead on the organization's upgrade to D365 Business Central
* Solve stakeholder technical issues by building accurate and quality technical designs, as well as using non-code technologies (Power Platform, Excel, etc.)
* Champion best practice standards to build quality code
* Provide technical support for key users, working alongside the organization's in-house ERP team and external VAR
* Use subject matter skills to help guide project development
* Guide team through technical planning and strategy
* All other duties as assigned

What You'll Need:

* Experience in a Software Development or Technical Consultant position
* Experience with D365 Business Central (AL extensions) or Navision programming (C/AL)
* Experience with .NET, JavaScript, Visual Basic, and SQL a strong plus
* Ability to interact well with customers to solve their technical issues
* Business Central implementation experience preferred
* Great communication skills, able to translate technical concepts to non-technical personnel
* Excellent analytical mindset and problem solving ability
* Must be located within the Tri State area and capable of driving onsite occasionally (a few times per month on average)
