Job Title: Senior Systems Administrator

Location: Back Bay Area, Boston, MA (On-site, with potential to transition to hybrid after the first few months)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, process-oriented, and technically proficient, with a strong background in managing and supporting IT infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems, with a focus on Microsoft technologies and small office networking.

Key Responsibilities:

* Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage and support Office 365 services including email, Teams, and Exchange.
* Windows Server Support: Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Servers, including Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Group Policy, and DFS.
* Endpoint Management: Utilize Microsoft Intune for Mobile Device Management (MDM), Mobile Application Management (MAM), application deployment, and patching.
* Cloud Services: Support and manage cloud infrastructure, including Azure and AWS (EC2, S3, AWS Backup).
* Networking: Manage small office networks, including Meraki, VPN, switches, and firewalls.
* Disaster Recovery: Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans, including creating and updating comprehensive documentation.
* Documentation: Continuously update and refine IT process documentation, ensuring it is thorough and accessible.
* Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to the help desk team on complex issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* 8+ years of experience in IT system administration.
* Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Office apps, Teams, Exchange) and Windows Server technologies.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Intune for endpoint management.
* Experience with cloud services, particularly Azure and AWS.
* Solid understanding of small office networking (Meraki, VPN, switches, firewalls).
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
* Excellent documentation and communication skills.
* A collaborative team player with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Work Environment:

* Location: 5 days per week on-site in the Back Bay area of Boston, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid schedule after the initial few months.
